We can deny the feds our labor and tax dollars until they see things our way or give us the flexibility for regional self governance. When a super majority of the people in the northeast agree that the American experiment is over, we can vote for true independence.

What exactly would such a split look like? If I'm correct ever since the Civil War the federal government could step in and prevent such an event, either legally or through force?
